Using a shopmobility scooter on Pride Hill

People of all ages who are having difficulty getting around are welcome and you do not have to be registered disabled to use the service. The unit is conveniently positioned for accessing all routes into the town centre, positioned within the main multi-storey car park, next to the town bus station, with a drop-off point nearby for local taxi service and Dial-a-Ride. The Railway Station is fairly close by.
Booking in advance is not essential. All Shopmobility members who are using the service are entitled to a parking concession within the Raven Meadows Car Park. You will only have to pay for the first hour of the parking charges.
There are 4 types of vehicles available to hire :- powered wheelchairs, three and four wheeled scooters, manual wheelchairs and a child's manual wheelchair (3 - 7 years).

Oswestry
Membership is free but there is a charge for hire. To use Shopmobility a short assessment test is necessary to ensure safety for the hirer and of others, and for equipment familiarisation. Car parking is available outside Shopmobility (limited spaces) and in Iceland car park opposite the centre or travel on Dial-a-Ride. Scooters and manual wheelchairs are available.

Telford
The service is situated in a demountable in Red Oak Car Park adjacent to Telford Shopping Centre (users must remain in the shopping centre and cannot access other areas such as the retail park). The service is free but users are required to produce I.D. such as a driving licence.
Three and four wheeled scooters, manual and powered chairs and 1 small manual chair (suitable for a child) are available. Scooters and chairs can be delivered to the bus station by prior arrangement.
Opening times :- Monday - Saturday 9am - 6pm. Late night until 8pm Thursday. Sunday 10.30am - 4.30pm.
